摘要
本研究以Gernsbacher的结构建造理论为基础,用E-Prime软件进行实验,探讨在外语故事听力中,学习者的认知加工过程。研究表明,学习者对故事中重复提到的角色目标信息维持激活,在新角色目标引进时,又通过抑制机制的使用来消除先前目标信息的影响,以保持对角色目标的持续跟踪,从而理解存在于故事中的复杂因果关系。抑制起着阻止通达和负责清除的作用,以此来帮助学习者分配其注意力资源,实现理解最优化。
Based on Gernsbacher's Structure Building Framework (1990), the present study provides empirical evidence on the importance of suppression during L2 narrative listening comprehension. It demonstrates that listeners maintain the most relevant goal in focus using the mechanism of suppression during L2 narrative listening comprehension. Thus, in an attempt to understand the causal relations between events in a story, they keep track of multiple story character goals. Suppression is responsible for dampening the accessibility and clearing of irrelevant information. By this, listeners effectively allocate their attentional resources in their working memory and optimize their comprehension.
