The Modernization of Traditional Values in Korea and Its Significance

价值观是一定社会和时代的人们评价各种行为与事物以及在一定环境中确定目标取向的基本准则。在传统社会向现代社会的转型中,传统价值观也要向现代价值观转变。19世纪末20世纪初,朝鲜出现全面走向殖民地化的严重民族危机,朝鲜各界爱国志士积极献身于民族救亡运动,在思想上不仅追求实学经世,而且进行西学启蒙,从而实现了其传统价值观的现代化转变。这个转变对于朝鲜民族的现代化发展具有十分重要的进步意义。

Values of a society are the basic rules to evaluate people＇s behavior and orientations under certain circumstances.Social transformation from the traditional to the modern will definitely cause the modernization of social values.1920s was a time when Korea was facing a serious national crisis.In order to shake off the bandage of being colonized,Koran patriots from all circles actively devoted themselves to the national salvation movement.They not only advocated the traditional thoughts of real learning,but also initiated the practice of the Enlightenment.In this way,the modernization of social values in Korea was realized,which carries great significance to the development of the nation of Korea in modern times.
