介绍了开发双轴汽轮发电机组的技术背景，其结构特点，与单轴机组的优缺点比较。同时介绍了我国现有双轴机组的概况，技术特点。
The technical background of cross compound turbin generator unit is introduced.Its structural characteristics and the advantage are compared to tandem compound turbine unit.A brief introduction of current situation and the technical characteristics of cross compound unit in China are given.At the same time,the handling of start up,synchronization and over speed problem special to cross compound turbine generator are also provided.
