Because of the development of petrochemical industry in Southeast Asia, many countries have been changed from net imported nation to net exported one. As a result, Chinese polyolefin market suffers the pressure. The recent economic crisis in Southeast Asia intensifies the competition and makes many major petrochemical enterprises dumping their products in great quantity and at low prices. Huge amount of polyolefin resin enters Chinese market resulted in strong impact to the local polyethylene market and production factories. Faced with this severe situation, Chinese polyethylene production factories should think about how to participate the competition and how to exist in the market and develop themselves.
