The structure and characters of metallocene and its application in polyolefine industries were described. According to the composite and structure of the compound, three kinds of metallocene catalyst were divided:homogeneous catalyst, monocomponent cationic catalyst and load catalyst, and every kind of catalyst had its applied field. The trademark and characters of metallocene polyolefine produced by Exxon, Dow, UCC, Hoechst, et al. abroad corporation, as well as our country's situation and development in the field were reviewed detailly.
