摘要
"体用论"起自何人,宋以后有很大争议;现代学者都很重视王弼体用观在体用论发展史中的地位。而实际上,王弼并没有形成一个明确的"体用"范畴,他从来没有把"体用"放置在与"本末"、"母子"两对范畴相同的高度上,更不要说把它看作是一个高过"本末"、"母子"的本体论范畴。王弼的"体"不是"无",而是"无"和"有"相结合的产物;"用"则分别与"无"和"有"有着复杂的关系。体用论发展至魏晋之后分成两条路径,而王弼的体用观正是这两条道路形成期的一个重要路标。
The founder of the theory of body and function gave rise to much controversy in the wake of the Song Dynasty. Modern scholars take much count of Wang Bi's important contribution to the theory development. As a matter of fact, he failed to form a clear category in theory that he never regarded the body and function so important as cause and effect or as mother and son instead of more than what he believed. In the view of Wang Bi, body is not nonbeing, but a result of combined nonbeing and being, while the effect respectively has a complicated relation with nonbeing and being. The theory and body and function after the Wei and Jin Dynasties is believed to take two different paths and Wan Bi's thought is a significant sign for the separation.
