A writer and his works are always closely linked with the time he lives, the economic situation and cultural environment of the place he lives. Only when the writer really understands the life and sharply feels the strong pulse of the society, is he able to create outstanding works of the time. The writer Zhang Tingzhu composed his Trilogy of the Time （Da Lu Chao Tian, Sheng Shi Wei Qing, Qing Ping Shi Jie） with serious realistic attitude to dig out social problems, reflect various social phenomena and disclose the dramatic change of human nature under extreme circumstance. His works focus on exploring and reforming the spirit of human being and try to discover development road in the future.
