摘要
简要概述了异步传输模式(ATM)的定义和ATM交换机的工作原理,阐述了ATM技术作为B-ISDN基础技术的优点。根据ATM交换机自身的功能需要,对信元预处理的流程进行了分析和模块的设计,并且使用VHDL语言进行功能描述,在ISE开发环境下经逻辑仿真验证,实现了基于FPGA的信元预处理功能。
A brief discussion about the definition of ATM switch and the working of ATM switch are presented in this thesis.With an overview of the advantages of ATM technology as the B-ISDN’s basic technology.According to the need of the ATM switch,we discuss the flow of cell preprocess and design this module.Based on it,function description in VHDL has been done,we also successfully simulated it under ISE and realized the cell preprocess function based on FPGA.
