马克思主义社会学的中国化一开始就与中国的现代化进行强烈而自觉的互动。其间,离不开先进中国人的"文化自觉"。马克思主义社会学的中国化是"文化自觉"的具体体现,而"文化自觉"又是马克思主义社会学实现中国化的一种必需。这既是社会学学科的品格使然,更是中国现代化的必然要求。强调马克思主义社会学在中国化过程中的"文化自觉",并不意味着对异域思想文化的鄙夷和拒斥,而是在现代化过程中对自身文化传统的"自知之明",是增强我们民族的自主性在思想文化上的必然反应。

Marxism Sociology＇s localization in China interacted with China＇s modernization strongly and consciously from the beginning which is also closely related to advanced Chinese＇s cultural consciousness. Marxism Sociology＇s localization in China is the concrete embodiment of ＂cultural consciousness＂, and the ＂cultural consciousness＂ is the necessity of Marxism Sociology＇s localization in China. This is the result of sociology＇s character, and even more is the certain demand of China＇s modernization. Emphasizing ＂cultural consciousness＂ during the process of Marxism Sociology＇s localization in China doesn＇t mean to despise and reject foreign culture, but be self-knowledge to our cultural tradition in modernization and is the inevitable response on thought and culture to enhance our nation＇s autonomy.
