The Anecdotes of Wisdom, one of Feng Menglong＇s subject novels in classical Chinese, was compiled in late Ming Dynasty when focus on wisdom and commercial interests dominated. It embodies his clear - cut compilation purposes, unique thoughts and literary creativeness, supplying source materials and references for Nihuaben novels （draft novels） in Ming and Qing Dynasties, thus distinguishing this work from articles of Zi and Shi.
