A Review of the Development of American Adult Education in Recent Ten Years

自第五届国际成人教育大会以来,美国成人教育在提升国民素质方面发挥了巨大的作用,基本形成了以成人基础教育、成人职业教育和成人闲暇教育为支柱的成人教育体系;通过成人教育法制化建设,保障地方自主办学权利,实施以绩效责任制为核心的评估体系等措施推进成人教育的发展。

Since the fifth UNESCO international conference on adult education, the adult education of the United States has played an important role in improving the quality of citizens. The United States has basically formed an adult education system sup- ported by the basic education, vocational education and leisure education for adults; the United States has constructed the legal sys- tem for adult education, guaranteed the rights of independent school operation of local governments and implemented the evaluation system with the core of accountability, in order to promote the development of adult education.
