Disappointment and Salvation——On the Heterogeneous Characteristic of Christian Thoughts in SHI Pingmei's Novels

石评梅是中国现代文学史上一位富有才华却生命短暂的女作家,她的作品带有鲜明的个人特色与时代特征。石评梅的创作与"五四"时期的其他作家一样,深受基督教文化的浸染,但同时又呈现了与其他作家不同的特点,这特别表现在她小说中所呈现出的基督教思想的驳杂性:在小说里,作家有时相信基督教,坚信那是一种精神支撑与前行的力量;但面对现实的艰难与困惑,有时她又会觉得昔日万能的"上帝"早已离场,成了一个扁平、失义的符号。作家对基督教信仰的徘徊,更多地表现在她对未来的期待与希冀上。

SHI Pingmei,whose works embodied unique style and obvious characteristic of the age,was a talented nevertheless short-lived writer in in the history of Chinese modern literature.As same as other writers of the May 4th Period,SHI Pingmei was influenced strongly by Christian cultures,but nevertheless her works presented different characteristic from other writer＇s,this especially manifested for the heterogeneous Characteristic of Christian thoughts in her novels.In her novels,the writer believed in Christianity and regarded it as a kind of spiritual support and courage to walk forward,whereas in the face of the the real-life quandary and hardship,she sometimes found that God,who was holy,perfect and omnipotent,had left and become a tabular and insignificant symbol.Owning to her great expectations and hopes for the future,the writer hesitated at Christianity
