Optimality Theory and the Phrasing of Tone Sandhi

以优选论为基础探讨汉语变调域构建的过程、方式及涉及到的因素等问题,指出了变调域的构建是在韵律制约条件和形态-句法制约条件的交互作用中完成的,并提出了这两类制约条件交互作用方式表现出的四种类型,为汉语不同方言中变调域构建过程提供了类型学的解释。

The present thesis,based on Optimality Theory,investigates the phrasing of Chinese tone sandhi and the factors involved in this process.It is pointed out that the phrasing of tone sandhi is conducted in the interaction between prosodic constraints and morpho-syntactic constraints and that such interaction can be approached in terms of four types.In this way,a typological explanation for the phrasing of tone sandhi in different Chinese dialects is attempted.
