中古汉语新词新义的发掘是汉语词汇史和汉语辞书编撰的一项重要工作,"理"、"举"、"收"、"处"四个常用词在中古时期有新义产生,而各大辞书皆未收录,所论四词或可补当前大型辞书的释义和书证。

The rediscovery of new words and new meanings of the middle ancient Chinese is an important work for the Chinese vocabulary history and compilation of Chinese dictionary and encyclopedia.The article discusses the new connotation of four popular words ＂reason＂,＂move＂,＂receipt＂ and ＂deal＂ that have some new meanings in middle ancient while the major dictionaries have failed to embody.The four words under discussion might make up of interpretation and documentary evidence of the currently widely used large-size dictionaries.
