Using the data of "China's General Social Survey" in 2006,the paper made a Logistic regression analysis of external factors affecting people's participation in mass incidents respectively from the three dimensions: demographic characteristics, economic status and social environment. The results showed that the participation in the incidents is remarkably affected by such factors as women, rural people, whether with direct interest or not, desire to make complaints to local governments and so on,while educational level, current occupation and personal monthly income didn't.It can be then held that women in rural areas are likely to lead to the incidents by their gathering to protect their rights through administrative channels or to make claims and express their demands for interest.
