On Chen Bangyan's Passion for His Motherland in His Poems

陈邦彦是明末清初岭南著名的诗人、散文家、民族英雄,"岭南三忠"之首,与黎遂球、邝露并称为"岭南前三家",有"粵中杜甫"之称。他的诗歌表达出强烈的国家之情,有对国土沦丧的忧虑和悲痛,有中兴国家的愿望和建功立业的大志,有对自己不被重用和国家内讧的失望,有为国家鞠躬尽瘁、死而后已的耿耿忠心。

Chen Bangyan was a famous poet and prose writer,reputed as ＂Du Fu in Yue＂,and one of the ＂Earlier Three Great Pens of Lingnan＂.Meanwhile,he was also a national hero in the Ming Dynasty,topped on the ＂Three Great Loyalists of Lingnan＂.His poems reveal his passion for his motherland：his worries about his broken nation and pains for its lost land,his wish to rebuild his nation and will to build his glory,his desperation at his nation＇s internal conflicts and frustration in his misplacement in government,and his everlasting loyalty to his nation and tireless painful endeavour to save it.
