Definition of Contrastive Linguistics Revisited

对比语言学理论研究方面的"同异之争"在一定程度上影响了该学科的自身发展。要根本解决这一分歧,除了研究和完善语言对比的理论模式外,还需要从学科性质和任务出发,厘清对比与比较、共性与个性、历时与共时等关键术语,并重立对比语言学的学科定义。

In theoretical studies of contrastive linguistics（CL）,the controversy on the issue whether similarity or difference is the purpose of contrastive analysis has,to some degree,affected the development of CL proper.An effective solution,besides the continuing endeavor for an ideal contrastive model,is to demarcate the terms of contrast/compare,commonness/individuality,diachronicity/synchronicity,etc.and to redefine CL from the perspective of the nature and objectives of the discipline.
