This article introduces the technical requirements for modern automobile engine cylinder block and difficulties of casting technique. It deals with the problems of the casing techniques of high quality cylinder block the design of casing technology concerning the control of the chemical composition in liquid iron and cooling time of casing and inoculation of liquid iron. At the end, the view is offered on the development of the casing technology for cylinder block.
