Appraisal of FU Xuan's Thought

傅玄的思想是以儒学为根本而兼综各家;其主流和本质主要通过《傅子》内篇表达出来,即以儒为本,儒法兼济,属于荀儒一类的儒家。传统文献分类学的做法与现代思想研究的方法可以并存不废,《傅子》应归类于杂家。

FU Xuan＇s thought was based on Confucianism and he absorbed the thoughts of different philosophers,especially the Legalist Thought.So it belongs to the Confucian School of Xunzi.Its mainstream and nature was expressed in Fuzi.However;the practices of traditional document classification and the methods of thought research can co-exist.Fuzi should be classified as the Eclectics works.
