A Study of Pragmatic Ambivalence in Jin Yong's Drifting Proudly by Rivers and Lakes

《笑傲江湖》的语用模糊现象可以从说话人、听话人及非对话无声语言三个角度加以分类,通过对其在文本中的显现方式和作用分析,探讨了语用模糊现象在汉语文学文本中的存在及价值,并提出语用模糊认识框架可以拓宽到无声语言层面。

In the martial arts fiction Drifting Proudly by Rivers and Lakes written by Jin Yong,the use of pragmatic ambivalence can be classified into three categories from the perspective of the speaker,the listener and nonverbal languages.Through analyzing the classification and function of the pragmatic ambivalence presented in the text,the author holds that discussing pragmatic ambivalence should focus not only on the speaker,but on the listener as well;and in certain context,pragmatic ambivalence can be conveyed through nonverbal languages,thus extending the study of pragmatic ambivalence to nonverbal phenomenon.
