The paper intends to take the planning scheme of mountain Mingyang cemetery as a case study,aiming to explore the new idea for the design of modern memorial parks.The paper advocates ＂the philosophy of people-orientation,returning to nature＂ and sustainable development.Meanwhile,the researcher blends the methods of gardening design with Hu＇nan culture to embody the traditional Chinese geomantic culture and gardening art in the design of memorial parks,striving to build an ecological cemetery which is not just the combination of humanity and nature but the harmony of environment and function.
