Comparative Study on Grammatical Polysemantic Relations of Present Continuous Tense in English and Chinese

对英语现在进行时的语法多义关系进行了探索,并通过实证研究,寻找汉语现在进行时语法多义关系的线索,将两者进行比较研究,进而得出结论:英语现在进行时的语法多义关系以显性的语法手段存在,而汉语现在进行时的语法多义关系以隐性的方式存在,只在特定的情景语境中才得以体现。

This paper attempts to explore on the grammatical polysemantic relations of the present continuous tense in the English and Chinese languages.The two are compared by an empirical research.It concludes that the polysemantic relations of the English present continuous tense exist with overt grammatical ways,while those of the Chinese exist in a covert way,which can only be reflected in a specified context.
