On Historical Experience of CPC's Gender Harmonious Policy

建国以来,特别是改革开放以来面对社会中性别矛盾突出的问题,中国共产党坚持马克思主义妇女观,同时结合我国实际,加快了对性别和谐政策的制定和贯彻,制定了一系列相关政策,也取得了巨大成就:将性别意识纳入决策主流;将男女平等确立为基本国策;制定了两个《中国妇女发展纲要》,将妇女发展纳入国家行动规划;制定了一套完整的保护妇女权益的法律,为促进性别和谐提供了法律保障;制定了构建先进性别文化的政策,为促进妇女发展创造良好的文化环境。逐步探索出一条适合国情的性别和谐之路:坚持马克思主义的指导地位;始终坚持理论创新和与时俱进;强化法律条文,增强现实可操作性;不断完善妇女的维权网络,发挥传媒的积极作用。为今后性别和谐的继续发展提供了有益的经验。

As an important part of social harmony, gender harmony is one important measure to improve the coordinative, stable, and sustainable development of society and economy. Since the founding of the PRC, especially the launch of reform and opening-up policy, facing the serious problem of gender contradiction, the CPC and the government have speeded up the making and implementation of gender＇ s harmony development policy on the basis of adhering to Marxism view on women and connecting it with China＇ s situation. The following achievements have been gained. First, the gender consciousness has been taken into consideration in the process of law-making and the equality between men and women has become the basic national policy. Second, two pieces of Development Program for Women of China have been made, which takes women＇ s development into the state＇ s planning. Third, a set of complete laws have been made to protect women＇ s rights, which provides legal guarantee for gender harmony. Fourth, the policy of constructing advanced gender culture has been made to create the suitable cultural environment for women＇ s development. In those achievements, a suitable gender harmony road has been explored gradually, which benefits the further sustainable development of gender harmony.
