摘要
介绍了生成虚拟环境的几种主要方法,如利用高度场方法生成地形,利用3DS MAX构造虚拟环境中的复杂三维模型,用布告板(Billboard)技术和Cross-Billboard技术构建逼真的树木模型,采用纹理贴图、LOD(细节层次模型)和碰撞检测技术增加虚拟环境的真实感。最后在Visual C++6.0环境下用OpenGL实现了一个逼真的虚拟旅游环境。
The several main methods in forming virtual environment were introduced,such as terrain formation with the help of altitude field method,construction of sophisticated 3D models in virtual environment using 3DS MAX,construction of lifelike tree models using Billboard and Cross-Billboard techniques,and adoption of texture mapping,LOD(level of detail),and collision detection technique to increase reality in virtual environment.Finally an example was given to demonstrate the implement of OpenGL within the context of Visual C++6.0.
