Yang Wang - li is a great poet in the Southern Song Dynasty, studying him has current meaning, which reflects in three aspects： ＂being＂, ＂creative＂ and ＂cordial＂, his cultural heritage exerts positive influence on reality. More importantly, further study of Yang Wan -li provides new understanding for literature of the Southern Song Dynasty, especially the development of poetry. On this point, Qian Zhong - shu＇ s study is very instructive for us.
