Recognizing the Immaturity of Chinese Securities Market from the Cultural Aspect

中国证券市场长期存在浓厚投机气氛下的宽幅波动现象,金融证券界在认识这种现象时形成了"赌场"论和"不成熟"说。这两种观点都没有揭示出造成这种非理性现象的深层次原因。要揭示出其现象背后的本质,应从文化层面去认识中国的证券市场,探究形成中国文化模式中的自然地理环境和社会环境要素对中国人思想和行为的影响,尤其应剖析中国人在证券市场上表现出的思想和行为的文化背景,这样我们才能正确理解中国证券市场的现状。

There exists the phebomenon of vast fluctuation under a thick opportunistic atmosphere in Chinese secur- ities market. And in the financial circle, the theories of ＂gambling＂ and ＂immaturity＂ have formed on it. However, neither of the viewpoints reveals the profound causes that lead to this unreasonable phenomenon. To see through the appearance to the nature,we should examine the Chinese securities market from a cultural angle, and explore vari- ous factors forming the Chinese culture model and their influence on the thinking and action of the Chinese on the securities market, especially their cultural background. This enables our proper understanding of the current situa- tion of the Chinese securities market.
