Imperative bare-verb sentence accounts for a considerable proportion in modem spoken Chinese oare-vero sentences because it represents imperfective aspect and detents on the context to a lower extend. These imperative bare-verb sentences can be divided into several different categories according to mood and purpose of usage. It is aimed to make a general analysis on imperative bare-verb sentence from the perspective of pragmatics and explain in brief the specific usage of some bare-verbs.
