Discussion on Ideological and Political Education in the Police College

大学教育除了贯彻工具理性以外,还应给大学生传授价值理性,因为工具理性教给学生的是"手艺",价值理性教给学生的是作为人的综合素养。中央关于进一步加强和改进大学生思想政治教育的意见(简称16号文),就是要求我们大学的教师们对广大学生进行世界观、人生观、价值观教育,进行弘扬和培育民族精神教育,进行公民道德教育,进行素质教育。

College education should embrace the teaching of instrumental rationality and value rationality,as the former taught students ＂the skills＂,meanwhile,the latter taught the students the general making as a human being.The CPPC＇s advice upon strengthening and improving the ideological politics education for college students requires that students should be instructed on education of world outlook,the outlook on life,the values,and national spirit education,citizen moral education,and quality education.
