中德亚毫米波望远镜项目前景展望 被引量:6

摘要 中国科学院国家天文台等单位与德国科隆大学合作,拟将目前放置在海拔3135m的瑞士阿尔卑斯山上Gornergrat的KOSMA亚毫米波望远镜(口径3m),直接移址安装到亚毫米波观测条件更好的海拔4300m的中国西藏羊八井。在此期间同时开展相关科学目标预研究,并在望远镜安装调试后进行试观测运行。该项目若成功进行并顺利完成,中国将首次成为拥有中小口径亚毫米波望远镜并以此进行常规天文观测的少数国家之一。建成后的羊八井亚毫米波天文台也将成为北半球运行中的海拔最高的亚毫米波天文台,在世界上仅次于北智利的Atacama亚毫米波台址高度。 The remove of KOSMA submillimeter telescope (diameter 3m) from Gornergrat (altitude 3100m) in Switzerland to Yangbajing (altitude 4300 m) in Tibet,China has been scheduled by National Astronomical Observatories of CAS and Cologne University,Germany and the relevant scientific study will be carried out The test observations will also be made after the telescope is installed.If the project can be completed successfully,China will own the first Submm telescope that can be provided regular observation opportunity to astronomers,and China also becomes one of the very few countries which own Submm telescopes in the world.Yangbajing Submm Astronomical Observatory will also be the highest astronomical site in the northern hemisphere and in second rank after Atacama site in Chile in the world.
