This paper discusses the operating principles ofdifferential protection of main blowers in catalytic units.The causes that influence the reliable operation ofdifferential protection are analyzed and troub1e sh0otingmethods are sununerized through combinati0n with thespecific prob1ems occurred in the field. Cautions indifferentia1 protection are also pointed out in this paper.
