摘要
拉康认为《被窃的信》中有三个不同的观察位置,随着每一次位置的变化,主体的身份开始逐渐形成。本文从这三个不同的视角对马克.吐温《加州人的故事》进行了全新的解读:故事中缺席的妻子变成了字面意义上的那封"被窃的信"、一个被小说人物亨利和他的邻居们反复阅读的能指符号。在不同的层面上,这一三角模式的视角又在不断地变化,逐渐揭示了马克.吐温对人的生存处境的深刻思考。
Jacques Lacan contends that the three different glances in 'The Purloined Letter' have formed a triangular relationship among the subjects,and the insistence of the letter during the inter-subjective repetitions is constitutive for the subjects. This paper,based on the Lacanian concept of subject,endeavors to provide a detailed analysis of three glances in 'The Californian's Tale' with its dynamic movements at different levels,especially for the purloined wife,who literally becomes a letter/signifier,constantly being read by others and promising her forever-delayed arrival.
