Discontinued Drugs:Cephalosporins

头孢菌素研发以来,新药不断开发上市的同时,许多候选物经历了筛选淘汰的过程,但它们却有存在的价值。本文对中断研发的头孢菌素类抗生素做一简要综述,特别是Ⅲ期临床中断研发的6个候选物和Ⅱ期临床中断研发的5个候选物。

While the development of cephalosporin antibiotics has led to new drugs launch continuously, most of the cephalosporin-based drug candidates were terminated. However, these drug candidates still contribute to our understanding to this class of antibiotics. In this article, discontinued cephalosporins are discussed, especially 6 candidates that were advanced to Phase III clinical trials and 5 to Phase lI clinical trials.
