摘要
Based on archaeological discoveries and relevant research,this paper comprehensively studies "baijin" (white metal) mentioned in Western Zhou inscriptions. Results show that "baijin" should refer to tin (probably include lead) which is one type of important raw metallic materials used in bronze casting. It is likely that other white metal materials used during the Western Zhou period were also known as "baijin"
