摘要
以现代计算机技术为基础，形成了面向对象的地理信息系统、网络地理信息系统、多媒体地理信息系统、虚拟地理信息系统、智能空间决策支持系统、开放式地理信息系统等新的发展模式。本文还论述了现代计算机技术对地理信息系统发展的关键作用及实用技术。
Several new GIS(Geographic information System: GIS) developing patterns are formed on the basis of modern computer technologies. Those patterns include Object-Oriented CIS, Web GIS, Mdultimedia GIS, Virtual GIS, Intelligent Spatial Decision Support System, Open GIS, and so on. The key roles and practical techniques of modern computer technologies to developments of GIS are also discussed in this paper.
