This paper analyzed the air cleaner performance requirements and the influence of pressure difference on the volume displacement and specific power of the screw compressor for locomotive, which was used to determine the calculating method of cleaner insert part use time. The result of the paper gives an energy-saving guideline for the screw compressor.
