An eclectic approach chooses the most appropriate of all the wellknown language teaching methods according to different teaching situations,requiring the teacher to teach according to the students’abilities in foreign language teaching,which helps the teacher to develop the students’competence in using English in listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation.
