摘要
梁实秋在《威尼斯商人》的翻译过程中,采取化韵文为散文的做法,充分照顾莎士比亚原剧"无韵诗"的语体特点,在汉语词汇、节奏、声调等诸方面采取多种变通手段,从而忠实地再现了原作意境。此外,梁实秋对"雅"的尊奉与追求,以及对"俗"的锤炼与升华,使得译作具有良好的可接受性。
Liang Shiqiu＇ s translation of The Merchant of Venice, by means of changing the poetic poem into blank verse, takes the style of the SL text, namely, the free verse, into considerable account. The rich poetic flavor of the SL text in terms of vocabulary, rhythm and tone was faithfully reproduced henceforth. In addition, Liang Shiqiu＇ s adherence to the ＂refined elegance＂ as well as the ＂natural elegance＂ in translating makes his version an enduring acceptability.
