摘要
"哈尔滨"之语源词义一直为学界所关注,而时下已成"通说"的女真语"天鹅说"存在两大硬伤:一是从语源上讲哈尔滨并非女真语;二是从语音上看"哈儿温"与"哈尔滨"风马牛不相及。所以"哈尔滨"并非源于女真语"天鹅",而是来自满语口语"哈儿边",其规范满语为"哈勒费延",汉意为"扁"。
The academia has always been paying much attention to the etymology meaning of Harbin. At present, there are two mistakes in the popular explanation that Harbin means ＂swan＂. One is that Harbin is not from Jurchen language from the etymology point of view ; the other is that gar-un and Harbin are totally unrelated. As a result, Harbin doesn＇t stem from Jurchen Language ＂swan＂, but from Manchu spoken language ＂Haerbian＂, whose standard Manchu is ＂halfiyan＂ with the meaning of flat.
