摘要 文章用雅克·拉康的镜像理论分析谭恩美作品《喜福会》中四位中国移民母亲与美国长大的女儿之间由于文化差异、民族身份等因素引起的充满冲突的、微妙而复杂的关系,探讨具有模糊身份的美籍华裔母女们在西方主流话语下寻求身份的主题。 This article analyses complex and subtle relationship of mothers and daughters in "The Joy Luck Club",which is caused by cultural differences and national identities.By using the mirror stage theory of Jacque Lacan,the theme of Chinese-American's search for identity under mainstream western discourse is revealed with an intention to prove that only through proper recognition of their racial and gender identity,can mothers and daughters realize their own problematic self-identity.
