Ancient Terraces in the Territory of Zhao State

赵国故地大部分为平原,历史上的统治者为显示威仪多建高台,这些"台"演绎了许多军事和政治事件,有着丰富的历史文化内涵。至今尚有许多以"台"命名的地名和遗址。

In Warring States Period, most of territory in Zhao States was plain. To demonstrated his dignity and prestige, the ruler of Zhao States was likely to build some grand terraces which usually were associated with many military and political events. On the other hand, these grand terraces had significant cultural connotation in china＇ s history. In China, there have been many places and historical relics named as ＂terrace＂.
