Development of Handicraft Industry in Urban and Rural Areas in the Early Days of New China

新中国成立初期,由于现代工业不发达,手工业在中国工业乃至整个国民经济中具有重要地位。就当时手工业的发展情况来看,它具有生产分散、资金短绌、生产经营的季节性明显、依附性强等特点。同时,随着社会经济的发展变化,一部分手工行业趋于发展,一部分手工行业趋于衰落。

In the early days of New China,due to underdevelopment of modern industry,handicraft industry had an important position in the whole industry and even in the whole national economy in China.The development of handicraft industry at that time featured scattered production,shortage of capital,seasonal operations and heavy dependence.Along with the development of socialist economy, some trades of handicraft industry developed while others declined.
