SIMD指令集技术在优化MPEG-2码流处理的研究

摘要 自1997年Intel在代号P54C(PentiumMMX)处理器中出现的MMX多媒体指令集以来,随着多媒体处理需求的日益膨胀,在继MMX之后,Intel的SSE、SSE2、SSE3以及SSE4指令集的兴起使得X86平台上的SIMD(单指令多数据)指令集得到了长足的发展。本文就针对使用这一X86指令集在提升数字电视码流处理效率,以用SIMD指令优化DCT变换为例,对提高MPEG2编解码效率上进行了探讨,并对SIMD指令集具体使用上提出了自身的建议。 Since Intel introduced the technology of MMX, as the demand of media processing roars all the time, SSE, SSE2, SSE3 and even SSE4 have come into eyes, which greatly enriches the SIMD technology on x86 platform., this essay discuss how to use these command sets to optimize the MPEG-2 processing, and focus on optimization of DCT with SIMD.
