Low developmen of railway is still one factor of restricting cooperative transportion of railway and waterway.Harbor modern logistics needs to connect with such three modes of transportation as highway,railway and waterway.Among the nine major projects listed in Restructuring and Rejuvenation Program of Logistics Industry,the first one is to develop the multimodal transport and transit facilities.The development of China's logistics industry presses for speeding up the construction of harbor waterway transportation and railway transportation in order to form good multimodal transport system.The present rapid development of railway brings new opportunity for China's cooperative transportation of railway and waterway.
