Donizetti's Opera L'elisir d'amore premiered in China on June 25 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts.Lu Jia,artistic director of the production,says at an interview,'This opera not only requires good singing,but also high-quality acting.It's very demanding.'Because of these difficulties, the production was all the more anticipated.
