Since the Iran＇s nuclear crisis, Iran has been sticking to its nuclear program.Implementing the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy as its policy and the direction of public opinion, Iran confronts with unprecedented toughness, to the pressure from the Western society led by the United States and even to the whole international community.Why the Iranian authorities has such courage and resolve to undertake its nuclear program regardless of great difficulties？ Illustrating the national spirit made by Iran＇s splendid history, this essay points out that Iran＇s nuclear ambition is facilitated by an intrinsic self-consciousness of Iran as a big power.
