莲池书院是清代在保定设置的直隶省最高层次书院。在莲池书院的教学活动中,名师讲学为学生展示了不同的教学风格,教学环境优美,师生关系融洽,特别是其供祀活动具备多种教育价值与作用。所有这些,都反映了莲池书院作为清代地方官方书院新旧交替的典型特征。

Lianchi academy is the top-leveled academy situated in Baoding in Qing dysnaty.In the teaching activity,famed teachers demonstrated different styles of classroom teaching,and beautiful teaching environment was one of the characteristics in Lianchi academy,a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.Especially,the activity of Gongsi was a colletive activities,which had a variety of educational value.All of this has been reflected the Lianchi academy as an offical academy was in changing in Qing dynasty.
