李鸿章“和戎”思想成因探析

A Research into Li Hongzhang’s Thought of"He Rong"

李鸿章是晚清杰出的外交家,他的后半生致力于中国的外交事业,虽然几乎所有的卖国条约都与其有关,但是在当时的国际大环境下他已经尽到一个外交家的全部努力。李鸿章之所以形成"和戎"思想缘于其受传统儒家思想的影响很深,非常重视中外力量对比,以及为频繁战乱的艰难时局所左右。

Li Hongzhang,an outstanding diplomat in the late Qing Dynasty,devoted most of his life to China’s diplomatic course. Although he had much to do with treasonable treaties,he did his utmost as a diplomat under then international environment. He attached importance to the comparison between domestic and foreign forces. His thought of＂ He Rong＂（diplomatic compromise with a foreign country） came from Confucianism and it was bewil-dered by the chaos caused by frequent wars.
