China during the Late Qing Dynasty and World Expo

晚清时期,清朝政府和民间参加了历届博览会,由于历史条件制约显示了一些独有特点,如由海关长期把持、组织经营不善、花费大收效少等,但最终还是促进了中外经济文化的交流,使国人认清了世界形势,为在国内举办博览会积累了丰富的经验。

The World Expositions（The World Expoes） are expositions held by capitalist countries with the purpose of displaying national strengths and spreading its impacts.During the late Qing Dynasty,both government and non-government organizations have participated in all the World Expoes.However,limited by historical circumstances,some uniqueness has been shown in the World Expoes during that period such as the long-time control by customs,poor management,big cost and little gain etc.But at last this has contributed to the economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.The world situation has been realized by Chinese and experiences have been gathered for the Expoes held in China.
