倾心农学 真爱无疆——纪念我国农学界首位女遗传学家曹诚英教授

Her Real Love Was All Dedicated to Agricultural Science——Commemorating the Late Professor CAO Chengying,First Woman Geneticist of the Chinese Agronomist Field

为纪念中国农学界首位女遗传学家曹诚英教授,《沈阳农业大学学报(社会科学版)》农学家研究栏目约请王琦编审专题介绍曹诚英教授在沈阳农业大学教学、科研中做出的成就,以示怀念。曹诚英(1902～1973),沈阳农业大学教授,在马铃薯遗传育种和高产栽培中做出有益探索。特别是20世纪50年代的遗传学辩争中敢于坚持真理,为沈阳农业大学的遗传学科发展做出了重要的贡献。

For the sake of commemorating the late Professor CAO Chengying, first woman geneticist of the Chinese agronomist field, Wangqi, a woman editor, was invited by the Column of Agronomists of The Journal Of Shenyang Agricultural University （Social Sicences Edition） to make a special introduction of how Professor Cao had devoted all her life to agronomy, upheld truth, behaved as a learned and refined scholar, and made excellent achievements in the genetic field. CAO Chengying, professor of Shenyang Agricultural University, born in 1902 and died in 1973, made valuable explorations in the aspects of potato breeding and high-yieldoriented potato culture. What is especially mentioned is that in the 1950s Cao bravely upheld truth in the genetics-related debate, making significant contributions to the discipline development of genetics in Shenyang Agricultural University.
