"知人论世"在中国传统文学批评中占有重要地位,同时也经历了不断地衍变与发展。它有着自身存在的文学理论依据,也在漫长的批评实践中证实了其有效性。但20世纪以来,随着文学内部批评、接受美学的兴盛,"知人论世"也显现了理论的局限性。文学批评应立足文本,参照"人"、"世",以求对文本的阐释具有审美性与合理性。

For the traditional Chinese literary criticism,it＇s important to Understand Human Beings and Reflect on Society.In the history of literary criticism,this mode established its theoretical basis and tested the effectiveness in Practice.Since the 20th century,with the rise of new ideas such as internal criticism and reception aesthetics,＂Understanding Human Beings and Reflecting on Society＂shows its limitation.In order to achieve aesthetics and reasonableness in text interpretation,literary criticism should be based on text itself,with＂human beings＂and＂society＂for reference.
